Gods Plan of Salvation

First, one must realize their inability to be “good enough” for heaven, and thereby their need of a saviour:

“For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23a)

“For the wages of sin is death…” (Romans 6:23)

“And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”(Revelation 20:14, 15)

Second, one must realize that only Jesus provides the answer to this dilemma:

“…but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23b)

Salvation is through faith in Christ alone:

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
(Ephesians 2:8, 9)

Third, one must act upon this knowledge of sin, and of Jesus being the only source of redemption:

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” (Romans 10:9)

“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.” (John 1:12)

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13)

Sample prayer to trust Jesus as your Savior

“Lord Jesus, I am a sinner and I need a saviour. Right now I turn from my sin and accept you as my Lord and Saviour. I am trusting you and you alone for my salvation, believing that you died and rose again from the grave to pay for my sins. I thank you for saving me. Amen.”
